Questions people often ask
Do I need any art experience?
Not at all. Most of our artists had never painted before joining, or hadn't since their disability began. We start from wherever you are.
What if I can't use my hands at all?
Many of our artists don't. We teach mouth painting, foot painting, eye-gaze and head-mouse digital art, and voice-directed creation. If there's a way you can communicate a choice, there's a way you can make art.
Do I have to be a Christian to join?
Everyone is welcome. Our teaching is openly rooted in the Bible and we pray together, but you're free to listen, ask questions and take part at your own pace.
How much does it cost?
Classes are donation-based. We suggest a gift if you're able, and supplies, tools and equipment loans are covered for anyone who needs it. No one is turned away because of cost.
Can my carer or family member come with me?
Yes, always, and at no cost. Many family members end up creating alongside their loved ones.
What if I have low-energy days or need to miss sessions?
That's expected and completely fine. Online sessions are recorded, and you can repeat any movement of the program as often as you need.
