Adaptive art · Biblical discipleship

God placed a gift in you. Let's find the way you were made to create.

Primitive Prophetic Artistry teaches people with physical disabilities to discover their spiritual gifts and talents, and to develop an art form that belongs only to them. Whether you paint with your mouth, your feet, your eyes or your voice, there's a place for you here.

“He has filled him with the Spirit of God… to make all manner of artistic workmanship.”EXODUS 35:31–33
What we believe

Your body doesn't limit your calling.

Bezalel was the first person in Scripture described as filled with the Spirit, and God filled him to make art. We believe that same Creator has given every person, in every body, gifts meant to be used for His glory.

01

Made in the Creator's image

To bear God's image is to carry His creativity. Making things is part of who you are, not an extra.

“So God created mankind in his own image.”Genesis 1:27
02

Gifted on purpose

Your talents, abilities and spiritual gifts aren't accidents. We help you name them and put them to work.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.”1 Peter 4:10
03

Strength in weakness

What the world calls a limitation often becomes the signature of your style: a line, a texture, a vision no one else could make.

“My power is made perfect in weakness.”2 Corinthians 12:9
Every way of creating

We adapt the art to you, not the other way around.

Our instructors are trained in adaptive techniques and tools. Together we'll find the method that fits your body, your energy and your vision.

Mouth & foot painting

Weighted brushes, mouth-stick holders and floor easels for painting and drawing without your hands.

Eye-gaze & switch digital art

Create on a screen using eye tracking, head mouse, sip-and-puff or single-switch access.

Adaptive grips & tools

Foam grips, cuffs, splints and 3D-printed holders for limited grip, tremor or reach.

Voice-directed creation

Direct an assistant or voice-controlled software stroke by stroke. Your vision, your choices.

Clay, texture & collage

Tactile art forms for people who create best through touch, pressure and layering.

Fully accessible studio

Wheelchair-height tables, tilting easels, rest breaks built in, and carers always welcome.

ποίημα · poiēma
“For we are God's masterpiece…”

In Ephesians 2:10 Paul calls us God's poiēma, His work of art, created for good works He prepared in advance. Before you ever pick up a brush, you are already His masterpiece. Everything you make flows from that.

Voices from the studio

Artists who found their gift.

After my spinal injury I thought creating was behind me. Now I paint with a mouth stick, and every canvas is a prayer.

The gifts study showed me I have a gift of encouragement. My digital pieces now hang in our church's hospital ministry.

My hands shake, and my teacher said, “Let's use that.” My tremor became my texture. I've never felt so seen.
